Can someone explain this to me please???

Banks are in the business of money right? I mean they distribute it, collect it, hold it, transfer it, count it, post it, deduct it, lend it, process it, etc. Their job is to handle money. We pay them monthly dues to do this with our money. Am I right? I thought so.
So can someone please tell me why my bank charges you a $5.00 fee to cash a paycheck? I can deposite it for free, I can withdraw for free, but to cash my pay check through my account, it is a 5.00 fee. Um, I'm sorry, what? Why? WTF?????? (That is Wiskey Tango Foxtrot!!!!)
It isn't like they are doing an extra service. It is not like it is delivering a pizza or adding a side dish. I am not doing anything complicated. I have a check, you have cash. I want cash for my check.
What gets me even still, is when you take a check to the place it is issued from and THEY charge a fee to cash a check from their bank, written by one of their members. Again. WHY? I mean that is like going to the grocery store and paying for your merchandise and then getting charged a check out fee. Or paying to see a movie and having to pay to leave.
It's like that Les Miserables song, Master of the house, about the Inn keeper. It's x amount of money to open the window and twice as much to close it.
It is just a one scam after another with these people.

TJ and I just had this conversation yesterday after we went to our bank for a basic bankly duty and they charged $6. You have an excellent point, but I guess when they have your money, they feel like the can hold you hostage. Buttholes!
hey, i'd like to listen to your complaint, but i have a $5 "listen to complaints" fee. hee hee.
