LOST Junkie
So tonight I tuned into my favorite new show, LOST. This show is killing me! I am a LOST addict. I go through LOST withdrwals when it is not on because of one stupid award show or another. I am focused on every detail and analyze every conversation, every activity, every look, every smirk, every everything of every frame of this show. I will watch the repeat of the first two episodes again next week, even though I saw the first epsisode the first and second time it aired. I will be one of those people memorizing it, so that I can mind tease myself and read too much into every aspect of it, trying to figure out what the heck is going on and what is going to happen next.
I have caught on to a few things and been able to predict events, actions, people long before it happened. Both little and big. I am pretty savvy that way. I don't think the show is all that predictable, but as a self acclaimed social behavior expert, and creative writer, I have a knack for catching these things. (That, and I am glued to every detail)
What I did not see coming was Charlie hanging from a tree. I was a little teary eyed, as he was a cheeky little bloke and I was kinda sweet on him. I was very upset that he was dead. And even though when Jack started pounding on his chest again, I knew he would come to life, I still held my breath waiting for it. And although it makes me happy that he is not gone, I am now terrified that he has been taken over by the "sickness" the French woman, Daniel, spoke to Cieed (sp?) about.
I also find myself wanting more flashbacks. I want to know about Hurley and others. And what happened to the black woman who Jack saved? And who was the woman that drowned in the ocean? Was she real? And what the hell happened to the "Monster" and what is it? People are traipsing through the jungle like they never saw the pilot disemboweled, hanging from a tree. That just pisses me off.
Yep, this show has got me hooked. I have never read one of Michael Creaton's novels, but I am tempted to.
Now I have to wait a week for a fix, and two weeks for fresh twists! ( I am realting to Charlie very well right now) Sure they put crap like Big Brother and Passions on several times a week. But the good stuff they hold out on. Curses to Network Television!
If you havn't seen LOST, try it out next week by watching the repeat of the first two hours. If you become hooked, let me know, I will give you the blow by blow of all the other episodes and catch you up in time for the new episode in two weeks.
