Hail to the Chief.

Well, Ladies and Gentleman. I was wrong.
When I named my son, I said that although it was the perfect name for him, it was not the name of a president. I was wrong.
Mr. Corey Lee Solari is the 5th grade class president. He won with no campaigning, no bribes, no flyer's. He was voted in based on his speech and debate. He gave candy out to everyone once the ballots had been cast. Everyone got a Butterfingers and a smile regardless of who they voted for. He said is it was merely for taking part in the election process.
Although his term is not for the entire year, he can run again next term. Though he is not sure if he will. He would like to give someone else he supports the opportunity, and thinks it would be good to take a break.
At his first swim meet this year he made State in two events. He is on track for two more.
He ended up taking the violin rather than the bass, as his hands were not quite large enough and there were no chello's left.
At this point he is not taking a marshal arts class, but may later on.
I have a parent teach conference today, and will be expecting to hear great things. He is getting mostly A's with a couple B's. I sincerely hope the math teacher doesn't want to go over the actual math with me, because I won't understand it. He is in the Gifted program in math. But even if it wasn't gifted, it is 6th grade vs. 5th grade. And even still, that wouldn't matter, because I wouldn't understand the basic 5th grade math either.
Life with me is busy busy and I am enjoying it.
However, I have noticed that it has been a while since I have vented about some subject or another, so I will be doing that soon.
Until then ...
