For Instant Speed Just Add Water

Well it is official, my son is a fish!

On Friday he had a Swim-a-Thon for his swim club. We were required to come up with $200.00 in pledges. (I had to foot most of it as I feel awkward asking for donations) The requirements were two hours of non stop swimming or 200 laps, which ever came first. They were allowed to use kick boards and flippers. My son opted not to use a kick board but did use the flippers a few times.
Corey swam for two hours. He completed 112 laps !!!! That is just over 1.5 miles!
And, he would have kept going had they let him.
I would have keeled over and looked like a dead log floating in the water after about 5 laps.
And now that he is riding a bike like a little demon, he is thinking he may want to be in a triathlon some day. Could you just see me driving along in my car keeping pace with him while he prepares for the Iron Man?
This boy is bound for great things. It feels soooo good to find something he is good at and increases his self esteem. You should see the way he has come out of his shell. He carries himself with such confidence now. It is wonderful to see, trust me!!!!
