Sorry Al ...

I can't believe I am saying this, but I saw a movie of Al's I did not like.
Cruising.
It was like bad gay porn. Sort of. I think it was the editing that I hated the most. It was choppy. I think the intent was to leave you suspended and guessing, but it just left you lost and confused. I sat up most of the night and waited to "get it", which I never did. In fact the ending left me even more bewildered and disenchanted. It was on one of the cable channels, unedited. At least now I know that I don't want to own it. So for all of you who buy me Pacino movies, take this one off the list. Please.
But don't mistake this as my love for Al to be less. I still love the man's work and support him 100%. In fact there is a little known movie called People I Know that he did a couple/few years ago. It was a small and very strange production. But I liked it. And one of his most recent Two for the Money was very good. Besides, Cruising was made many, many moons ago and was daring for it's time. I give him a nod for trying. And then I keep cruising
